But because Leily is heartbroken, she swears on the wedding night that she would not allow Ibn Salam to mate with her, even if she is killed.
Meanwhile, a man in the desert informs Majnun about Leily’s marriage and drives him crazy. Majnun is like a madman in the desert until one day a letter arrives from Leily, which shows her pure love, and this letter becomes an ointment for Majnun’s wounded heart. After a while, Leily’s husband dies of an illness, and Leily sheds tears under the pretext of mourning her husband’s death, until she becomes ill herself and says goodbye to life after a long time. Hearing the news of Leily’s death, Majnoon becomes more insane than before and comes to Leily’s tomb and stays at Leily’s grave with the animals he has become accustomed to in the desert and laments the death of his love and asks God for a relief from such suffer. He whispers Leily’s name and dies at Leily’s grave.
